Founding Pastors

Pastor Mark & Kim Linares

Pastor Mark’s calling to South Texas began in 2005 through a powerful and transformative encounter with the Lord. Recognizing the profound weight of this divine commission, he chose not to rush into ministry prematurely. Instead, he held the vision close to his heart for years, faithfully serving and trusting in God’s perfect timing.

That divine timing became remarkably clear on the morning of December 7, 2011, at 4:09 AM, when the Holy Spirit awakened him from his sleep. In that quiet, early hour, he was directed to Philippians 4:9, a scripture that would permanently define the trajectory of his life and ministry: "Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you."

Today, this calling animates everything he does. Pastor Mark’s central mission is to Lead, Love, and Liberate. He is deeply dedicated to leading people into an authentic, growing relationship with Jesus Christ, loving the local community unconditionally by meeting people exactly where they are, and liberating the brokenhearted by breaking spiritual chains to guide individuals into a supernatural filling of the Holy Spirit.

Pastor Kim is an anointed, ordained Minister of the Gospel who has dedicated her life to answering God's call with unwavering faith and radical obedience. From the very beginning of her ministry, she has carried a profound passion for supporting single-parent households and unwed mothers. Understanding the unique challenges these families face, she walks closely alongside them, offering both practical support and spiritual guidance to see generations anchored in absolute trust in Jesus.

In addition to her specialized outreach, Pastor Kim is a devoted leader of powerful intercessory prayer. She is a woman of deep spiritual discipline, known for standing in the gap for her congregation, community, and family, believing that prayer is the catalyst for supernatural breakthrough.

Her dedication to family is the bedrock of her ministry. She and Pastor Mark have been happily married since December 30, 2000, building a life and ministry centered on Christ. Together, they serve as dedicated co-laborers in the Gospel and are the proud parents of three beautiful children: Mark II, Kaleb, and Bella.

Pastor Luis Linares Jr serves as a Senior Elder and Charter Pioneer of Living Faith Family Worship Church (LFFWC). In this vital leadership role, he faithfully oversees LFFWC’s Pastoral Family Care ministry, pouring his heart into helping every household step into the absolute fullness of God's design. He moves powerfully in the prophetic, allowing the Holy Spirit to guide his speech, and he carries a deep, genuine love for people that leaves a lasting impression on everyone he meets.

As a lifelong pillar of the community, Pastor Luis has called Cotulla, Texas, home for more than 60 years. This decades-long history gives him a unique insight into the heart and soul of the local area and its residents. His enduring life mission remains steadfast and unwavering: to evangelize the entire region of South Texas, transforming the community from the inside out, one family at a time.

Pastor DaSha McCelvey serves with distinction as both the Associate Pastor and Administrative Assistant at Living Faith Family Worship Church in Cotulla, Texas. Working hand-in-hand with the senior leadership team, she brings a powerful and unique blend of compassionate pastoral care and organizational excellence to the daily operations of the ministry. Her ability to balance the spiritual needs of the congregation with the structural demands of the ministry ensures that the house of God functions smoothly and effectively.

With a heart completely devoted to teaching the Word of God and fostering true, authentic community, Pastor DaSha plays a vital and active role in executing the church's core vision to Lead, Love, and Liberate. She is deeply invested in the spiritual growth of believers, whether she is providing direct pastoral counseling, walking alongside individuals in discipleship, or offering intentional care for the LFFWC church family.

Simultaneously, she skillfully manages the essential behind-the-scenes administrative duties that keep the church thriving, vibrant, and organized. Her unwavering commitment to the Body of Christ is evident in every task she takes on. Pastor DaSha considers it a profound honor to serve the local ministry staff and dedicatedly give her talents to help advance the Kingdom of God throughout the entire community.
